Easter Fun

We had a fabulous Easter weekend. Friday and Saturday were pretty low key, but we did get to catch up with some people who were in town for the the holidays. We hung out with our friends Rob and Missy, who now live in Atlanta. Rob was the only non-brother out of all the groomsmen in our wedding (okay, I'm cheating--but Ellis is as close as you get to being a brother; he even escorted my momma). Anyway, we worked with Rob at the pool where we met/became friends/fell in love, so he's been around for the "whole story".

Notice here that Rob's forearm and AP are pretty much equivalent in size. He used to be a marine and his muscles are massive. I'm forever asking him if he's sure he hasn't taken any steroids (I'm forever asking awkward/inappropriate/weird questions). Anyway, he hasn't; he just has a workout addiction. It's similar to my lay on the couch and eat and blog addiction. Except not.

Here is Mark (Cookie's boyfriend).....he had never held a baby (let alone a newborn) in his life. But you can't tell can you? Also, she's all dressed up in these pics because Michal (Peyton's brother, who is a photography major at Delta State) came over to take pictures of her. I really wanted some of her under a month old, but I didn't want the Olan Mills price tag when she can't even hold her head up...so Michal seemed like a great choice. We'll have to shoot more because the sun kind of wasn't cooperating, but I still can't wait to see them!

On Easter Sunday Momma offered to babysit so we could go to church (she watches Galloway on the TV) and she brought Daddy and Cookie along with her! This is what they did while we were away:

And later we went to their house and hung out and got a visit from the bunny.

Peyton and I both got candy and a dvd. I also got some fun cookie cutters and watermellon plates and Peyton got some goofy novelty items. AP got two books, some rubber duckies, fairy eggs (who am I kidding? those were mine) and two bibs, a plate for her goldfish, and a container for her cheerios.

We had an amazing Easter. God is showing me so much lately, and I will post about that soon, but this post is kind of already out of hand in length. So, Easter is all about new beginnings.....which is
resident enviro-freak sweet Papa more proud of?
His little precious baby bunnykins?

or

his squash seedlings?

That's a toughie.

Love the pics of AP! I have her an Easter "happy" that's a little late (story of my life!)!! By the way, I'm still jealous of your ability to strike through your words.
Hope to see you Saturday night :)
